I think everyone needs some alone time once in a while, time to just be quiet, sit, and think. Without it, "that still, small voice" is awfully darned hard to hear. Artists need it more than others as near as I can tell. It's absolutely essential, in fact, because creation doesn't happen without it. There is a beauty in solitude, and hope. It holds new beginnings, allows endings so the beginnings have the space to grow. Then we're ready for others again.
