This Appleworld piece was a transition painting between working small and working large. After painting so many small pieces so quickly, it taught me which pens and brushes to use (larger ones!), and how to think on a larger scale. That's harder than you might think. Many solitary beach walks on Cape Cod made their way into this one. Of course, Black Dot had to come, too. A rich time deep with discovery it deserved rich colors.
