A very dear friend of mine once told me that every ending is a new beginning, that in death lie the seeds of life. Nothing could be more true. I grieved when I realized I would be leaving Cape Cod. I painted “Leaving” as a part of that grief. It helped me let go. Women grieve their losses, they acknowledge the importance of who or what they have lost. Then they gather the love and the memories, as this woman has, then weave them into strength, and move forward, ready to love again.
