Morning brought me soft pastels and greys with my yellow Apple. I needed some calm...so much so, in fact, that I broke out the Naples yellow (Quiller brand) and cerulean and even some ultramarine violet. Then Yellow Delicious and I stood with our toes in the water at Gold Beach Campground and watched the sun rise. I know, the sun only sets in the ocean in California, but this was a beginning, not an end. Yellow Delicious objected after a while, though. It was too calm. She insisted on some orange and red. She was right.
