Apple A Day series, No. 5
12 x 6"
Watercolor on Saunders Waterford 300# Rough
Morning no. 5 was the first time I woke up "with apples in my head". Mainly, I kept getting a mental image of a lovely, curvilinear Z composition leading up from an apple at the painting's bottom. I chose a yellow apple because it was a more relaxing color after all the reds and greens and purples of previous days. So imagine my surprise when my mind let loose its control, and all these bold shapes and edges started forming. It was fun, relaxing, and energizing, all at once.
