The fourth in my Shell Series, I wanted this painting to capture that “pluck a flower, trouble a star” feeling that so much of life holds for me. It’s as though all of creation is caught in each and every thing on earth. Here, I feel that all of time and space is caught within this frail shell. Perhaps it’s that moment when the soul twirls down into the womb, into the tiny human shell that will hold it for a single life’s span. It fills me with wonder.
