It was 1976, the year I bought Judy Collins’ hauntingly beautiful album, “Send in the Clowns”. It was also the year my first husband died. I spent hours and hours listening to her songs that year, healing little by little.
This painting is about that year, all those emotions, and the incredible gifts that year gave me. I made deep and lasting friendships, learned how to grieve, and discovered who I was. Then I learned how to live again.
Priceless gifts, all. I cannot imagine my life without them.
